Newcomers to SCA in San Diego

Tuesday Night Meeting for Newcomers to SCA

The SCA-beginner's meeting is located at the Family Health Center of San Diego, 3514 30th Street in North Park.  From the front entrance, take the stairs or elevator to the second floor, turn right through the door marked "Case Management."  The meeting is through the next door in the conference room.  The meeting begins at 7:00pm and runs until 8:15pm.

If you have not yet attended an SCA meeting, our Tuesday night newcomers meeting is a great place to start. This meeting focuses on sharing with newcomers about how the SCA program and the 12 steps have changed the lives of SCA members.

The meeting opens with a "Long Share" during which an SCA member describes what it was like before recovery, what happened that brought them to recovery, and what a life of recovery means now.

Fellowship is generally held nearby immediately following the meeting. This provides newcomers with an opportunity to speak one-on-one with other SCA members.

Newcomers are welcome to attend any other SCA meeting listed on the schedule.

If you'd like to speak to a San Diego SCA member to find out more about the program, leave a message on our voice-mail (619) 819-7740 and an SCA member will contact you within 72 hours or you can e-mail us.
